LATINO! CALL FOR PERFORMERS 'Concerts @ the Fest' at Twelfth Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival March 10-20, 2005

Arts Center San Diego’s prestigious and internationally recognized
San Diego Latino Film Festival, soars into its’ 12th year with
impressive and exhilarating activities, special events and initiatives.
The Twelfth Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) is now accepting
entries for the 2005 festival’s exciting 2nd annual Concerts
@ the Fest, ¡Sonido Latino! SDLFF will take place March 10-20,
2005 at the Mann Theaters at Hazard Center located in beautiful San
Diego, California. The
2005 San Diego Latino Film Festival ¡Sonido Latino! will include
expanded opportunities for participating performers (musicians, poets,
dancers, etc.) to take the spotlight. Last year ¡Sonido Latino!
highlighted up and coming performers like Quetzal, DJ Desmond Williams,
Malverde, Orquesta Binacional de Mambo, and Agua Dulce. For a complete

here. Who Should Apply? The
festival is seeking performing artists that through music, dance,
or poetry express innovative works that are 'by', 'about' or 'for'
the Latino community. A panel of distinguished curators from the San
Diego and Tijuana community will select the talent to perform during
the evenings of the festival. All entries will be pre-screened for
eligibility by curators, however, not all entries will be programmed.
Why Participate? All
selected performers will be included in the brochure of scheduled
performances for the SDLFF ¡Sonido Latino!, performers contact
information will be included in the official 2005 San Diego Latino
Film Festival program, will be given the opportunity to promote their
work the night of their performance and each performer will receive
a pair of complementary tickets for a movie during the festival. There
