An elderly man smitten with a girl who is no good for him. A shady young lady with a murky past. A dumb ex-legionnaire who, dressed in a bunny outfit, works for a debt collecting agency. Fickle fate has fused their lives into an explosive cocktail. Recently widowed, Nestor has become infatuated with Maribel, his cleaning lady’s daughter and wants to legalize their relationship at the earliest opportunity.

But Maribel has plans to go to Barcelona to work on the S&M club run by her sister Angela. What’s more, she has fallen head over heels for Manolo, an ex-legionnaire, presently working as a debt collector, and dreams of an exciting, surprise-filled life at his side.

On her sister’s advice, and further inspired by the thought of a juicy inheritance, Maribel marries Nestor, whom she does not expect to last long, especially if she gives him a good run for his money in the sack. Maribel already sees herself as a rich widow with Manolo at her side and the world at her feet. But, what is it they say about the best laid schemes of mice and men? It’s hard to choose between love and money when one aspires to both. But, what’s to be done if sugar daddy is disinclined to kick the bucket? Could this be the cue for someone to give him a helping hand? Manolo, for instance…? The plot soon thickens and, with the added ingredient of a pesky blackmailing detective, the leading players in this tragicomedy blunder towards an unexpected denouement.
