An audience favorite at the 2000 Cine Mexicano Film Series & 2001 San Diego Latino Film Festival. An entertaining comedy that dares to portray urban police in Mexico as criminals and dangerous thugs. It's also a political thriller with sophisticated on-screen action. This film depicts, with a great touch of humor and entertainment, a typical problem in many cities of Latin America and the world in general, where crime sometimes ends up being connected to those in power. The movie, about a filmmaker who takes on a band of criminals with high-level protection, is based loosely on actual events. Director Fernando Sariñana (Amarte te Duele, El Segundo Aire, Hasta Morir) began toying with the movie's concept after being robbed at gunpoint four times in Mexico City. A powerful tale of the corruption and indemnity Mexicans live with, Todo el Poder, ("Gimme Power") became an instant hit after its January 2000 release in Mexico. Once again, San Diegans have the wonderful opportunity to see this entertaining film on the big screen!. Starring:
