This year's brightest stars include:

Cristian De La Fuente
Chilean-born Cristian de la Fuenet found success in Mexican television before making a name for himself in U.S. film and television. He has starred in
El Nominado (2003), Basic (2003), John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos (2002) and the television series Reyes y Rey (1998).

America Ferrera
America Ferrera is a stunning Honduran actress who has starred in How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer (2004), Plainsong (2003) and Real Women Have Curves (2002).

Nicholas Gonzalez
Nicholas Edwards Gonzalez attended Stanford University and Oxford University. His filmography includes Anacondas: The Hunt for the Black Orchid (2004), The Bride of the Sea (2003), Sebastian,Spun (2002), The Princess and the Barrio Boy (2000) and Resurrection Blvd. (2000).

Rene Lavan
Soap star Rene Lavan (One Life to Life, Enamorada) has made the jump to the big screen with such films as Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004) and El Nominado (2003).

Diego Luna
Before taking on the role of Tenoch in the blockbuster Y Tu Mama Tambien, Diego Luna was already a soap star Mexico. By age thirteen he had landed the role of Luis in the television soap opera El Abuelo Y Yo. His filmography includes Havana Nights (2004), Open Range (2003), Frida (2002), Y Tu Mama Tambien (2002), Before Night Falls (2000).

Quetzal
This sextet’s music is a testament to East Los Angeles life where they live via son, boleros, folk, blues and rock. A socially conscious Latin alternative band, they are a cartography mapping out the destiny of their people.

Freddy Rodriguez
Born in Chicago of Puerto Rican parents, Freddy was discovered at age 13. This led to roles in Six Feet Under (2001), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), The Pest (1997), Dead Presidents (1995) and A Walk in the Clouds (1995).

Adam Rodriguez
Born in New York, NY, Rodriguez was an aspiring professional baseball player until he was injured. After a year of sending out headshots and taking jobs as an extra, Rodriquez hit a break when he made a guest appearance on NYPD Blue. His filmography includes C.S.I.: Miami (2002) and Roswell (2001-2002).

Roselyn Sanchez
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Sanchez was involved in music, dance, and performance since a very young age. She debuted on American TV when she starred in the successful TV series L.A. Fame. Her filmography includes Angel (2003), Chasing Papi (2003), Basic (2003), Rush Hour 2 (2001).

Patricia Velasquez
Supermodel Patricia Velasquez was born in Guajira, Venezuela. She can be seen in such movies as The Mummy, and The Mummy Returns. She supports causes such as the advancement of Hispanics, fair treatment of indigenous peoples, and the fight against pediatric AIDS. She has also launched a foundation to help Venezuelans.
