A coming-of-age drama set against the music that defined our times. Facing the shutdown of his psychedelic radio station, Alberto must also deal with the failure of his marriage. During his last radio broadcast, Alberto travels on an introspective journey accompanied by each genre's music through time. First taking him to the 60s and his first relationship that was suffocated by his oppressive family. As he moves through the 70s, redefining himself and then finally to the present where skepticism and loneliness reign. Alberto realizes that his own life was defined by our times as much as the music.

- HASTA MORIR is the story that revolves around Boy, a gang member and Mauricio, a cholo living Tijuana and their dreams of reuniting for one big score. Mauricio holds great influence over Boy who imitates his friend and lives by his example. The Boy lives in Mexico City with his alcoholic aunt who requires constant care from the young man. They plan various robberies to fund their big scheme to kidnap a wealthy Tijuana businessman. They dream of starting a new life, living in luxury off the ransom in Los Angeles. Everything is going well until a policeman is killed, drastically changing their plans.

DANZON

- Julia, a single mother who works in an unsatisfying job as a switchboard operator, expresses herself only through danzon, a traditional Cuban ballroom dance. When Carmelo, her dance partner for over five years, suddenly disappears, Julia finds that much of her pleasure in danzon goes with him. Though she knew Carmelo only on the ballroom floor, Julia journeys to the seaport town of Vera Cruz in an attempt to find him and to recover the missing part of her life. There, in a world unlike any she has known, she encounters sailors and prostitutes and befriends them -- especially Susy, a good-hearted singer who tries to help her locate Carmelo. To her surprise, Julia's quest leads to an unexpected romance and to self-discovery.
