"DIRECTING - THE ACTOR'S PERSPECTIVE & ROLE IN AN INDEPENDENT FEATURE FILM PRODUCTION" is an informative seminar and discussion with visiting actor Luis Felipe Tovar; who has starred in 31 feature films and who has worked with some of the word's brightest independent feature film directors (i.e. Oscar-nominated Carlos Carrera, John Salyes, etc..). This engaging event will take place this Saturday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Madstone Theaters Hazard Center (7510 Hazard Center Dr., Suite 100, San Diego, CA 92108).

Luis Felipe Tovar will be showing clips of some of his various feature films (i.e. Todo el Poder, Asi es la Vida, De la Calle, La Nave de los Suenos, etc.) as he discusses working with renown filmmakers and the actor's perspective on the overall process of producing and directing an independent feature film. Hear Tovar's personal account of attending the most recent Venice International Film Festival and winning Mexico's equivalent to the Oscar three years in a row (i.e. Ariels).After the 1.5 hour seminar, attendees will be given the opportunity to see Mr. Luis Felipe Tovar in the popular family feature film ("Atlético San Pancho / Never To Young Too Dream") in 35mm!

Luis Felipe Tovar has worked with such renown film directors as Carlos Carrera, Jorge Fons, Arturo Ripstein, Gabriel Retes, Fernando Sariñana, and John Salyes. Luis Felipe Tovar has been in over 31 feature films! Mr. Tovar has been is some of Mexico's most popular and critically acclaimed films including: La Hija del Caníbal (2003), La Virgen de la Lujuria (2002), Santitos (1998), Vivir Mata (2001), De la Calle (2001), Todo el poder (1999), Cilantro y Perejil (1996), El Callejón de los Milagros (1995), Sin Remitente (1995), and Principio y Fin (1993). He has also played roles in the following U.S. feature films: The Mexican (2001), Beat (2000), Men with Guns (1997) & Overkill (1996).
