Bio: Daniel Díaz Torres graduated in 1970 from the Law School of The University of Havana, Cuba. He began working in the ICAIC, Cuba's film institute, as a film critic writing articles for the most important publication in the country. In 1975, he made his first documentary, "Libertad para Luis Corbalán." He has been the Vice-Director and teacher at the International School of Film and Televisión in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, since the school was established. He was awarded with "Por la cultura Nacional" and "Sello de Laureado" in recognition of his contribution to the development of arts and literature. Films include: "Alicia en el Pueblo de Maravillas", "Los Jibaros", "Kleines Tropikana", "Libertad para Luis Corbalán", "Madera, Quiereme y Verás".
