The San Diego Latino Film Festival is proud to pay tribute to Mexican
screen legend Dolores del Rio. One of the brightest stars of the
Golden Age of Mexican cinema, she rose to stardom in 1920s and 1930s
Hollywood as an exotic, sultry leading lady. Del Rio was among the
first Mexican movie stars to find cross-over success, making made
more than 80 movies in Hollywood before returning to Mexico to resume
her career. This year marks the centennial of her birth. At the
SDLFF, you can experience Del Rio in the roles that captured the
imaginations of moviegoers across the Americas.
